Stargazing Tour Kitzbühel Alps

The Alpine guesthouse Labalm is idyllically situated below the impressive summit Großer Rettenstein. In the middle of the nature reserve Spertental - Rettenstein, this is one of the darkest places in the Kitzbühel Alps that can still be reached by car.

The traditional Tyrolean cuisine of the innkeepers Christiane and Patrick is excellent and invites you to dine before the star tour. Overnight accommodation at the Labalm is possible on request.

Your Experience

In the first part of the tour, you will learn how to find your way around the starry sky using a laser pointer and listen to the beautiful star stories from all over the world. You will also learn exciting and entertaining facts about the why, how and the nature of our incredible universe.

In the second part, you will use a professional telescope and astronomical binoculars to delve deeper into space and practice observing planets, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies yourself.

An unforgettable nature experience for young and old!

What happens if it's cloudy?

If heavy clouds or rain are forecast, the Stargazing Tour will not take place.

Three hours before the start of the event, you will receive an email telling you whether or not the Stargazing Tour is taking place on the evening in question. If necessary, information can also be sent by SMS at short notice.

If the tour is cancelled or terminated early due to bad weather, there are three options:

    1. Alternative Date:
If a Public Stargazing Tour is canceled due to bad weather, a new date will be sought as soon as possible. If you are unable to attend the new date, you will receive a 100% refund of the tour price.

If this new date is also canceled due to bad weather, you will also receive a refund of 100% of the tour price.

    2. Weather deterioration during the tour:
Even the best weather forecast is sometimes wrong and there is no hundred percent guarantee to see stars in the Tyrolean Alps.

If a Stargazing Tour takes place and you have no opportunity to observe the starry sky through a telescope due to changing weather conditions in the second part of the tour, you will receive a 50% refund of your tour price.

    3. Cancellation or termination by the participant:
If you do not take part in a booked tour, the cancellation conditions below apply. In this context, please also note my terms and conditions.

If you decide to leave a Stargazing Tour early due to poor visibility or similar, your right to a refund expires. Therefore, I strongly recommend that you stay until the end of the Stargazing Tour. Often the sky unexpectedly clears again and great observations are possible. Otherwise, you will get 50% of the tour price refunded (see para. 2).

    Cancellation conditions

If you do not show up at the event as agreed or if you cancel your participation within a certain period of time before the event, the following cancellation conditions will apply:

    • Up to 1 week before the event: no cancellation fee
    • Up to 76 hours before the event: cancellation fee of 25% of the tour price
    • Up to 24 hours before the event: cancellation fee of 50% of the tour price
    • Within 24 hours before the event: cancellation fee of 100% of the tour price

However, should something come up – you never know what life has in store – please get in touch with me and we will find a solution, be it rescheduling for a different date, issuing a voucher or a refund as a gesture of goodwill.
